When it comes to music, opinions differ quite obviously. But we don’t rate music just by the figure of sales it made or by the craze on social media websites. We have created a list of 10 best rock albums of all time based on various factors.
- The Dark Side of the Moon-PINK FLOYD
Rolling Stone, in 1987, listed the record 35th on its “Top 100 Albums of the Last 20 Years”, 16 years later, in 2003 the album ranked at 43rd position on list of the magazine”500 Greatest Albums of All Time.”
The Dark Side of the Moon carries impressive numbers; over 50 million copies sold worldwide, 15 straight years on Billboard’s album chart, regularly ranked in the Top 10 of many best-albums-ever-made polls.
- Electric Ladyland-JIMI HENDRIX
Electric Ladyland the third and final studio album by American-English rock band the Jimi Hendrix Experience, released in October 1968, reached number one in the US. It spent two weeks at the top spot.
- Led Zeppelin IV- Led Zeppelin
The fourth album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, commonly called Led Zeppelin IV, was released on 8 November 1971. The album proved to be a massive instant seller. It cruised through UK chart at No. 10, and rose to No.1 the following week.

- Axis: Bold as Love – the Jimi Hendrix experience
The Jimi Hendrix Experience’s second studio album, Axis: Bold as Love, was released in 1967. In February 1968, the album charted at number three in the US. The album was well received by music critics, who praised its mixture of rhythm and blues, hard rock, and jazz.
- The wall – Pink Floyd
The Wall was released November 1979 by the English progressive rock band. This album features Pink Floyd’s only number one single: “Another Brick in the Wall Part 2.” It is a concept album that explores themes of isolation and abandonment.
