Hidden from the glorious parties and paparazzi, Priti Adani has spent the last 20 years of her life in improving rural lives across the country. She is the Chairperson at Adani Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Adani Enterprises Limited. Although the world knows her as Gautam Adani’s wife, here are the top ten facts about Priti Adani that reveal hidden information about her life journey:-

1.      Establishing the Adani Foundation

In 1996, Priti Adani started Adani Foundation with a two-member team and today, her venture marks its presence in over 2,300 villages spread across 18 states in the country.

2.      Claim To Fame

Pushing through the initial rough years, Priti’s foundation marked its presence in the CSR domain during the 2001 Bhuj earthquake. Her two-year struggle in getting the city back on its feet varied between partnering with leading NGOs for shelters to clearing the debris for transport.

3.      Education is the Key

Prioritizing education as the foundation stone of development, she established various ‘Vidya Mandirs’ under Adani Foundation with an aim to improve the literacy rate in rural regions of Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, and other states.

4.      Upskill India

While children enjoyed school education, adults could learn an array of skills including tailoring, carpentry, and 52 other skills owing to the partnership with National Skill Development Centre.

5.      Four flagships of Adani Foundation

Priti Adani devised four flagship programs in order to combat with major hurdles in rural lives including Suposhan for malnutrition, Saksham for skill development, Swachhagraha for cleanliness, and Uthhan for education.

6.      Helping tribals of Odisha

Under Priti Adani, Adani Foundation partnered with Kalinga Institute in Odisha to establish a residential school with the provision of graduate education at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, Bhubaneswar.

7.      Education intersects marriage

Very few people know that Priti married Gautam Adani during her Bachelors in Dental Sciences and completed her degree afterward from Government Dental College, Ahmedabad.

8.      The ‘Dr.’ Tag

On February 9, 2020, Priti Adani was felicitated with a doctorate for her outstanding contribution in the field of CSR and Education at the 3rd convocation ceremony of GLS University, Ahmedabad

9.      Awards and Recognitions

Apart from the series of awards bagged by the Adani Foundation ventures, Preeti Adani was bestowed with FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) Outstanding Woman Philanthropist Award in 2011 followed by Banas Ratna Award, 2019 by the Rotary Club of Palanpur.

10.  Personal Life

When not in the office, Priti Adani is usually spotted gardening, reading about technological advancements, or playing with her granddaughter.
