Board Exam 2021: Official dates, syllabus and important information

Board exam 2021 for class 10th and 12th have got nearly 30 lakh students in a fix for reliable information. Circulation of fake date sheets, syllabus, exam format, and centers along with delayed responses from CBSE continues to increase the organization’s worries. In order to clear the air, here are the top ten points of information about the board exam 2021 for students across the country:

1.      Final Examination Dates

According to Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal, Union Education Minister, CBSE class 10th and 12th board exams 2021 will be held from May 4 to June 10.

2.      Practical dates

Taking to a live video session on his social media accounts, Dr. Pokhriyal added that Practical exams will begin on March 1.

3.      Result Date

Instead of declaring the result in March, this session will get its final result on or around July 15, 2021.

4.      Exam Format

As per official reports, 33% internal choice in every subject paper will be given in order to balance the difficulty levels for students.

5.      Reduced Syllabus

While the options reduce the number of chapters to be studied, state boards can take their individual calls on syllabus reduction. Uttar Pradesh has reduced it by 30% followed by Maharashtra with 25% less syllabus.

6.      Mode of Examination

The Education Minister confirmed that the exams will be held in offline mode, similar to competitive exams held in recent times. All necessary precautions will be practiced.

7.      Date Sheet

CBSE has not released an official date sheet as of now. Students are advised to check cbse.nic.in or Dr. Pokhriyal’s official Twitter handle for more information.

8.      Fake Date Sheet

PIB Fact Check team has confirmed that the date sheet circulating on social media is fake. No student should refer to the same for dates or syllabus.

9.      Practical exam dates

Tentatively, practicals are expected to end by the first week of April. Official dates will be released by CBSE soon.

10.  Preparation
